EMERALD MINING PROJECT PANSHIR-AFG

Project Location

The Panjshir province of Afghanistan is home to the renowned emerald, known for its exceptional quality, beautiful green color, transparency, and rare characteristics. The mining and sale of these emeralds can provide a significant source of income for local residents and contribute to the economic development of the region by creating job opportunities and increasing local income. 

One ongoing project is the Makni area emerald mine, located in the Sefid Chehr area of the first district of Panjshir province, with latitude coordinates of (64 47 َ26 35ْ ) and longitude coordinates of ( 91 28 49َ 69ْ ). This project is being carried out by the Afghan Land Mining and Processing Company and aims to extract high-quality emeralds from this rich area.
