On 12-August-2024, the CEO and members of the Board of Directors of Ashna Afghan Land Processing and Mining Company had an official meeting with the Board of Directors of Mobarakeh Steel Company . The members from Mobarakeh Steel Company  included Mr. Tayeb “Nia,” the CEO, and Dr. Fakhri, a Board Member and Deputy Director. The discussion focused on trade issues and potential investments in Afghanistan’s mines. During the meeting, Alhaj Ehsanullah “Alizai,” the company’s President , and the Iranian delegation from Mobarakeh Steel Company  emphasized the need to commence exploration work on the Pashtun Zarghon iron ore project in Herat province. Both parties agreed to take effective measures to move the project forward. In conclusion, they pledged to fully cooperate and work together to advance the Pashtun Zarghon iron ore project, promising to complete the national project through bilateral cooperation.
